Season May Be Over for Surf Kunkel Tuesday, July 23rd , 2058 Jack Kunkel has to call it a season. The Cayucos Surf reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Berkeley Golden Bears and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Kunkel was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn labrum and stated that he would not be able to play for 4 months. This season in 22 relief appearances Kunkel has thrown 19.2 innings and collected 13 saves. His won-lost record is 1-2 with a 1.83 ERA. |
