Ogden Loses Brian Phelps for Season Monday, July 22nd , 2058 When Brian Phelps was hurt against the Laramie Wranglers, the Ogden Thunder Ducks were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 17-year-old reliever suffered shoulder inflammation throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Phelps would miss 5-6 months of the season. This year Phelps has 8 relief appearances with no saves, 1-2 season record and a 4.05 ERA. He has hurled 20 innings, given up 19 hits, struck out 20 and walked 7. Opposing clubs have batted .253 against the Ogden reliever. |
