Bad Behavior Costs Bruno and Guerrero Wednesday, July 10th , 2058 After an intense confrontation, both the Fighting Artichokes Gonzalo Bruno and the Bulls Ignacio Guerrero were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Castroville-Cheyenne game. Gonzalo Bruno will miss 4 games, while Ignacio Guerrero was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Gonzalo Bruno commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Bruno currently has a .272 batting average with 28 hits, 2 homers, 10 RBIs, 11 runs scored and a .318 OBP. Guerrero has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-0 record with a 5.00 ERA. The Cheyenne reliever has limited opposing batters to a .289 batting average. |
