Bullfrogs End Katulsky's Streak Wednesday, July 10th , 2058 It was the best of both worlds for the Aurora Bullfrogs today at Monkeys Stadium, as they defeated the Saylorville Nuts 3-2 and also snapped Ilia Katulsky's 20-game hitting streak. The 19-year-old Saylorville left fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Katulsky, we just wanted to win the game," said Bullfrogs skipper Enrique Ayala. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Katulsky frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." Looking at his stats this year, Katulsky has compiled a .340 batting average, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 30 runs. He has played in 34 games and scored 19 runs. |
