Lexington Punchless in 9-0 Loss to Wild Things Tuesday, July 2nd , 2058 Bend Wild Things hurler Mario Granter was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Lexington Sycamores, shutting them out 9-0 on 1 hit. "Mario was very aggressive tonight," Bend manager Wilson Suárez said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence." Through 9 innings, Granter tallied 9 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Sðdðk Deringil said. "Granter has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off." So far this year Granter has made 6 starts, tossed 35.1 innings, struck out 27 batters and walked 10. His record is 1-4 with a 6.88 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .255 batting average.
