Bowling Green Loses Tom Pippy, Will Miss Season Sunday, June 16th , 2058 Tom Pippy has to call it a season. The Bowling Green Corvettes reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Oshawa Dodgers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Pippy was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 7 months. Running the numbers on Pippy for the year, he has made 6 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 6.14 ERA. In pitching 7.1 innings, he has totaled 4 strikeouts and 2 walks. |
