Traverse City Tops Waco Saturday, September 15th , 2057 The Traverse City Talons ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Waco Thunder 3-2 to win the Round 3. Traverse City won the series 4-2, capturing the title for the 7th time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Traverse City manager Mike Sullivan. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 42-27 and claimed second place in the Frontier League Farmers. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and right fielder Adrian Tallent said the Talons have "great fans and they deserve this."
