Round 2 Goes the Distance, Traverse City Prevails Thursday, September 6th , 2057 It went the distance, but the Traverse City Talons finally disposed of the Charlottesville Marching Ants 4-3 in the series clincher at Ant Hill. Winning the finale gave the Talons the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 3. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Traverse City third baseman Aytarel Adnan. He batted .379 in the series, collecting 13 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. "Aytarel deserves it," said Talons manager Mike Sullivan. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Traverse City Talons will play against the Waco Thunder in the next round. Waco won their series against the Chestermere Lunkers 4 games to 3.
