 | Kasturirangan Torches Mules for 5 Hits Monday, July 31st, 2045 Fans at Dodos Nest got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Danville Dodos outplayed the Medford Mules en route to a 12-1 win, but the standout was second baseman Isat Kasturirangan. Kasturirangan netted 5 hits in 6 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Mules manager Curt Blackburn said in his postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Isat Kasturirangan singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
