 | Surge Zapata Snags PL Player of the Week Monday, May 29th, 2045 21-year-old Sergio Zapata made a few Aspen headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Provost League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 6 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Zapata collected 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 7 runs. |   |
