He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Grand Junction Gold Sox. Carter smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 6-4 win. "Chris was hitting everything," said Mules manager Curt Blackburn. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Gold Sox manager Eduardo Martínez told BNN beat writers that Carter "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Carter oversleeps next time."
