Beaumont's Cunningham Snaps Up August Batting Award Sunday, September 1st , 2058 At only 24 years of age, Bob Cunningham could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Beaumont Drillers, as August was one to remember for the second baseman and he has captured the Drake League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .392 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and 29 runs scored. This season Cunningham has banged out 132 hits in 410 at-bats for a .322 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .418 pace and his totals also include 51 RBIs and 77 runs scored. |
