5-Hit Blitz by Memphis's Rajput Saturday, August 24th , 2058 Aziz Rajput exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Spinning Web Field. The Memphis shortstop had a field day in the 13-1 triumph over the Sioux City Xplorers, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Rajput must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Aziz Rajput grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
