Aces Carper Out Rest Of Season Thursday, August 15th , 2058 John Carper is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Reno organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 4-5 months with a torn labrum. The 25-year-old reliever suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Parker PIlots. This season Carper has chalked up a 1.00 ERA while ringing up 1 save with 2 wins and 1 loss. He has made 33 relief appearances, pitching 27 innings, giving up 18 hits, and holding opponents to a .189 batting average. Carper has also recorded 21 strikeouts and allowed 5 walks. |
