Ahmed Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, August 12th , 2058 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Aban Ahmed is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Carson City Gamblers at The Railroad Station today. The monster effort from the 24-year-old third baseman helped the Reno Aces take the win, 17-2. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Gamblers manager Bill Farrell. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Aban Ahmed hit an RBI double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
