Monarchs End Murugesan's Streak Monday, August 12th , 2058 Subhadra Murugesan of the Trois-Rivieres Salmon Kings came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 3 at-bats for the first time in 20 games. Making matters even worse for the shortstop, Trois-Rivieres dropped the game to the Saskatchewan Monarchs 3-1. "It was not a good day today," Murugesan told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." So far this season Murugesan has put up a .288 batting average with 94 hits, no home runs and 25 RBIs. |
