Turner Tosses 4-0 Shutout Tuesday, July 16th , 2058 The bats were ice cold today for the High Point Hammers at Duane Whitley Field. Mississauga Spartans starter Floyd Turner kept the Hammers cold all day, shutting them out in a 4-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 26-year-old hurler allowed 4 hits while striking out 6 and walking 1. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Turner admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
