Injury Sidelines Juan Mendoza for Season Sunday, June 23rd , 2058 The season is apparently over for Juan Mendoza. The Winston-Salem Warthogs medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 4 months with a ruptured finger tendon. Mendoza was hurt in the game against Anderson while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. Looking at his season stats, Mendoza has won 2 and lost 1, collecting 18 strikeouts and 2 walks in 25 innings with a 3.60 ERA. |
