Grimes Strokes 5 Hits Saturday, June 8th , 2058 Even as a kid, Jeremy Grimes said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Moonlite BunnyRanch Park today, Grimes showed how well he learned that lesson. The 23-year-old second baseman had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Parker PIlots, helping his team knock off the Carson City Gamblers by a score of 12-3. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Jeremy Grimes grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
