Vatne Stretches Hit String to 20 Wednesday, August 14th , 2058 Erik Vatne of the Orlando Oranges has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 1 hit in today's 6-1 triumph over Pasco at Citrus Park. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Vatne said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Erik Vatne doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. Vatne has a .308 average and a .375 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 141 hits, 19 home runs and driven in 65 runs. |
