Hawkins Records Shutout Against Riverhawks Monday, July 29th , 2058 Leslie Hawkins hurled a fine game for the Annapolis Sailors at Annapolis Park today, holding the Saint Paul Riverhawks to 6 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Annapolis manager Xue-qin Man said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 6 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 3-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Saint Paul manager Juan Karyabwite said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." This year Hawkins has a 6-9 mark in 19 starts with a 4.21 ERA.
