Delgado Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, July 27th , 2058 Win or lose, Roberto Delgado just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 3 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Brooks Fighting Pheasants left fielder went 3-for-5 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 5-2 by the Victoria Canucks at SUNY Medical Center Presents The Railyard. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Roberto Delgado singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. So far in 2058 Delgado is batting .328 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 122 at-bats and a .394 OBP. |
