Death Valley's Juárez Will Miss Season
Friday, July 19th , 2058
The Death Valley Scorpions were dealt a severe blow when Pedro Juárez was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Victoria Canucks. After the game, the team trainer reported Juárez might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 21-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn meniscus. They indicated it would take Juárez at least 4 months to heal.
So far this season Juárez has a 4-2 record, 14 starts, 80 innings, 73 strikeouts and a 2.48 ERA.
