Saint Paul's Stoops to Miss Season Saturday, July 6th , 2058 The season is finished for Robbie Stoops of the Saint Paul Riverhawks. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Riverhawks reliever suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Milwaukee Choppers. Team doctors said it would take at least 10 months to heal. Stoops has taken the mound for 29 relief appearances this season, nailing down 4 saves while notching a 3-3 record with a 2.04 ERA. The Saint Paul reliever has limited opposing batters to a .214 batting average. |
