Borderhounds End bin Abdul's Streak Friday, June 21st , 2058 The El Paso Borderhounds got more than the 5-4 victory at Eddie Guerrero Field today -- they also put an end to the 22-game hitting streak of Duluth Freeze left fielder Muhsin bin Abdul by holding him without a hit in 1 at-bat. After the game, bin Abdul seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." So far this season bin Abdul is batting .309 with 1 home run. |
