Loggers Lawrence Strikes out 16 Thursday, May 1st , 2053 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Randy Lawrence, the Lincoln Loggers topped the Death Valley Scorpions today by a score of 3-2 at The Big Log. The 23-year-old Lawrence brought his top game to the mound, striking out 16 batters while allowing 4 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Scorpions manager Hanif bin Mu'ayyad said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." To this point in the season, Lawrence has put up these figures: 2-3 record, no relief appearances with 35 innings, no saves, 51 strikeouts, 13 walks and a 5.66 ERA.
