Pablo Lara Captures JL Award Monday, August 17th , 2048 22-year-old Pablo Lara sent shock waves through Brewster Baseball Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Johnson League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Lara made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .444 average, 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBI. Where the Rockville Pikemen left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Lara certainly made his mark last week. So far this year Lara has hit .294 with 13 home runs, 59 RBIs and 70 runs scored. |
