Lacerda Reaches 300-Save Milestone in 5-2 Omaha Victory Friday, May 8th , 2048 "I tried to approach this game like it was just another day, but when I walked out there on the mound, it was different," said Omaha star reliever Renato Lacerda. "I'm supposed to have ice water in my veins, but not today. It felt like my first day on the mound in my rookie season." It certainly was different. Lacerda was about to try for his milestone 300-th career save and put his name in the record book. As he has endless times before, Lacerda rose to the occasion and disposed of the Hawaii Tropics to save the Cyclones 5-2 victory, allowing no runs and 2 hits in 0.2 innings of work.
