River Monsters Blanked by Fain, 6-0 Friday, April 10th , 2048 Larry Fain kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Des Moines Kernels were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the Twin Cities River Monsters at Edward Murphy Memorial Stadium today. The left-handed Fain gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 8 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Fain said later.
