25-Game Hitting Streak for Thum Tuesday, August 13th , 2047 Dong-po Thum's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Yellow Springs. The 29-year-old second baseman extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 25 games with a 1-for-5 performance against the Valencia Stars. The Nine took the game, 5-0. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Dong-po Thum grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Thum is hitting .358 with 10 home runs and 36 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .415 clip and scored 64 runs. |
