Brooklyn Fired up Over 'Valdéz Moments' Saturday, July 20th , 2047 Members of the Brooklyn Robins know their manager does his job with emotion, and it's a quality that is endearing to the team. The club has coined Tomás Valdéz's emotional outbursts as "Valdéz Moments" and said they are well received. "It shows he's passionate about the game and wants to win," said Tommy Bailey. "When he blows up at something in the dugout, or in the clubhouse, I think it sharpens our focus as a team, and gets the guys fired up." Valdéz laughed when told his emotional outbursts have been coined with a nickname. "This is just the way I manage and they way I go about my life. I'm not going to hide my emotions," he said. "If that fires the boys up, that's a bonus."" |
