 | Mad Popes Lose Render for Season Tuesday, August 28th, 2046 The season is apparently over for Ben Render. The Sacramento Mad Popes medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 4 months with a torn labrum. Render was hurt in the game against Des Moines while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This season Render has gone 6-3 with an ERA of 3.50, posting 68 strikeouts in 103 innings. |   |
