Peņa's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Monday, July 9th, 2046 Nine shortstop Luis Peņa has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for a herniated disc. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule. Doctors reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in Yellow Springs told BNN Luis Peņa would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least 2-3 weeks.
This season Peņa is batting .304 with 59 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 34 times and has 41 RBI.
