| Twin Cities's Ramírez Hammers #300 Thursday, July 5th, 2046 The Twin Cities River Monsters had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 6-2 decision to Louisville. The reason -- the splendid slugger Alex Ramírez hit his 300th career homer in today's contest at Kentucky Truck Plant Stadium.
"I'm fortunate to be here," Ramírez told the media after the game. "The River Monsters have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #300 was for them."
In his 1494-game career Ramírez is batting .287 with 275 doubles, 97 triples, 300 home runs and 969 RBIs. He has stolen 384 bases and scored 1021 times.
