Bluebirds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Mad Popes
|
The Sacramento Mad Popes got a superb performance from pitcher Thomas Turner. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Nashville. The Bluebirds won the game, 6-1. Turner threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 runs. Nashville is now 29-15.
Nashville first baseman Wafid Bishr provided the clutch hit. In the top of the 15th, he belted a solo home run to put his team in front and help them pick up the win.
Bishr described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
