The Twin Cities River Monsters had to overcome a big game from Madison first baseman Rafael Pérez to leave Land O' Lakes Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning 6-5. Pérez was 2-2 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Twin Cities reliever Peter Fuller picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Wesley Turner was saddled with the loss. The Wolves drop to 12-15 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2058 season.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Twin Cities left fielder Joshua Koka, facing Wesley Turner, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the River Monsters the 6-5 win.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Koka.
