Outlaws Turn Away Hustlers, 5-3
|
San Antonio designated hitter Patrick Strolz helped his team beat the Las Vegas Hustlers, 5-3. Strolz, who is tied for 6th in the JL in stolen bases with 5, went 2 for 4 for the Outlaws. San Antonio reliever António Báldez picked up the win, raising his record to 2-3. Carlton Casson was tagged with the loss. Usama Awad finished to wrap up his 5th save.
The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Strolz delivered big-time for San Antonio, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Adam Bristcoe. The game-changing hit put the Outlaws on top, 5-3.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Strolz told the San Antonio Daily.
The win gives the Outlaws a record of 13-11.
