|
Sacramento beat Vancouver on the strength of starter Joe King's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. King, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The Mad Popes, now 12-5, have been sizzling early on.
It could have been a different outcome for Sacramento, had it not been for Bhumimitra Keshab, the 31-year old left fielder . Keshab contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Sacramento up, 4-2.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Keshab told the Sacramento Gazette.
