Carlos Díaz put on a hitting clinic today as the Los Cabos Corsairs dumped the Dodge City Gunslingers 6-5 at The Crow's Nest.

The Los Cabos catcher made Dodge City defenders earn their pay, lashing Dodge City pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Díaz said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Carlos Díaz doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 11th and doubled in the 13th.
