Nisancî, Mad Popes Sink Bluebirds Again in Game 3
The Sacramento Mad Popes are one game away from a sweep of the Nashville Bluebirds today after a road win at Les Paul Field, 8-5. Mad Popes right fielder Okyay Nisancî was a key contributor. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Sacramento now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Cartwright Cup.

Sacramento relied on the bat of Todd Rice to get the win. The left fielder produced a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mad Popes ahead, 6-5. For the game, Rice had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

Bluebirds manager Sylvester Reed did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the Monty Brewster Memorial Series."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Les Paul Field in Nashville.
