Kinshasa College Takes League Championship Series in Deciding Game
|
Depending on your loyalties, the League Championship Series was either thrilling or heartbreaking.
The series went down to its final game, with the Kinshasa College Blasters and the Bombay College Angels giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Blasters came out on top, winning 14-4 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim today to take the series 4-3.
"We're lucky to be going into the World Series," said Kinshasa College pitcher Kalule Gyasi. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."
Gyasi earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .471 average, with 5 home runs, 13 RBI and 7 runs scored.
The Kinshasa College Blasters will play against the Kanpur College Jackhammers in the next round. Kanpur College won their series against the São Paulo College Green Jackets 4 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
