Buffalo Wild Wings Advances to Round 3
|
The Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalos are heading to the Round 3, having narrowly defeated the John Deere Mean Green.
Buffalo Wild Wings edged John Deere in the series 4-3, with a win at Diamonds Ballpark in the clinching game by a 6-1 margin.
Mazur Khokhar turned in a strong offensive performance for the Buffalos and got series MVP for his efforts.
"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 4 win."
It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Khokhar continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.
For the series, he hit .516 with a .583 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 17 RBI and scored 8 runs.
The Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalos will play against the Pepsi Generation in the next round. Pepsi won their series against the Texaco Stars 4 games to 1. The Round 3 is scheduled to begin on March 10th , 2061.
