The Valencia Stars had to overcome a fine performance from Hawaii pitcher Elvin Hilliard to grab a 3-2 win at Dunn Field. Hilliard allowed 2 runs over 6 innings. The win puts Valencia at 7-4.

Koray Kapkin was the walk-off hero for Valencia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stars left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Hawaii manager Rich Kerr said following the tough loss.
