Cigars Advance to The Showdown
With a 6-4 win to wrap up the series at Castro Field, the Havana Cigars have eliminated the Cat Island Pirates in the The Face Off and move on to the The Showdown.

Havana controlled the series from the outset and won it in a 2-0 sweep.

Chris Tveito led the charge offensively for the victors, winning series MVP honors. He posted a .571 batting average, along with a .625 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"We're not done yet," the MVP said. "There is still a lot to accomplish."

The Havana Cigars will play against the Santo Domingo Sea Turtles in the next round. Santo Domingo won their series against the San Angelo Missions 2 games to 0. The The Showdown is scheduled to begin on August 30th , 2058.
