Loan Duval dominated the Johannesburg Freedom with a brilliant 5-hit shutout in a Lagos Wreckers 2-0 triumph at Nordiques Ballpark. The Lagos hurler fanned 3 and walked 0 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.

"He really kept us in check today," Freedom skipper Daniel Clymo said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."

In 20 starts this season Duval has chalked up a 10-8 record and a 3.21 ERA.
