Round 1 Goes the Distance, Barclays Prevails
When the entire season comes down to one game, Gerald Earle said you find out what a team is really about.

As it turns out, the Barclays Eagles are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the PlayStation Gamers 11-7 tonight at Pilots Ballpark in order to win the Round 1 and book a place in the next round.

"It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Earle, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about."

Earle hit .472 with a .537 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 11 runs.

The Barclays Eagles will play against the POS Portal Machines in the next round. POS Portal won their series against the Texaco Stars 4 games to 1. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on February 28th , 2059.
