Mark Coffman has led his IBM Machines to a Round 1 victory.

IBM's first baseman was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-1 and eliminating the MGM Gamblers.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series."

The club advanced to the Round 2 with a 7-6 triumph at Ballpark of Toledo HS in the deciding game.

Coffman was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .389 average, as well as 5 home runs and 19 RBI.

The IBM Machines don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Nintendo Bros. - Merrill Lynch Bulls series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on February 28th , 2059.
