Bruins Advance to Round 2
The Majuro Bruins are bound for the Round 2.

A 10-4 win over the Tarawa Sun Kings at Bombay HS Grounds ended the Round 1, 4-2.

"We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said Kealoha Koula. "This could be the biggest celebration Majuro has ever seen if we can win the Round 3."

The state of the Oceania Baseball Academy championship remains in doubt, but the Bruins certainly appear to be strong contenders.

Koula was named MVP of the Round 1 after he posted a .370 batting average, while adding 3 home runs, driving in 8 RBI and scoring 6 runs.

The Majuro Bruins will play against the Port Moresby Seahawks in the next round. Port Moresby won their series against the Weno Crush 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
