Pilots Deal Pearls 4-2 Defeat
|
The Sao Paulo Pilots defeated the Tokyo Pearls, 4-2, in Global Baseball Consortium action at Manama Fields. Sao Paulo pitcher Tewodros Lacchelo had a standout performance. Sao Paulo reliever Mick Joo picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Fassil Maundu was saddled with the loss. With the win, the Pilots have a record of 56-57.
Sao Paulo used a clutch hit from Al Garrett to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pilots ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Lacchelo.
