The Phoenix Talons wiggled past the Montreal Blazers, 6-5, at Ubisoft Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Phoenix pitcher Damian Theophanous. The save went to Run-ming Zhu, number 7 for him. With the win, Phoenix has a record of 43-34. Montreal falls to 48-29.

Phoenix used a clutch hit from Ángel Zalapa to get the win. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Talons ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was terrific getting this win," Zalapa said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
